The rooms at Winterton in Lochgilphead are cozy and comfortable. I loved the fact that each room has a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. It felt like my own little home away from home. Plus, the double room also had an electric kettle, perfect for making a cup of tea in the evenings.

The only downside I can think of is that all the rooms have wardrobes. For me personally, I would have preferred some extra storage options.

The food, from the delicious cooked and continental breakfasts to the mouthwatering 3-course home cooked dinner, was absolutely fantastic. Additionally, the comprehensive information brochure provided beforehand was extremely useful. My stay at this exceptional B&B exceeded all my expectations.

I did notice some noise from guests in the room above me, as the walls were not soundproof. However, this didn't dampen my overall experience and was to be expected in a traditionally renovated old building.
